El Paso Reunion 2008
The 2008 Reunion will be at the Radisson El Paso Airport
-4 September 2008. Things are winding down for the
reunion and drop dead dates are near. Hotel reservations
must be made by 8 August 2008.
On 0 August, we loose
the group rate and rooms must be booked at the going rate.
Hotel reservations for the reunion must be made directly
to the Radisson Hotel El Paso Airport, and not through the
Radisson Hotel central reservation system. The hotel tele-
phone number is -95-772-3333. You must ask the front
desk to make the reservation as part of a “Group Reserva-
tion” for the 2nd Missile Battalion. Remember, each room
reservation includes a full breakfast for two, and two tickets
per room for the nightly happy hour.
Reunion Activity Fees, and the Reservation Form, also
need to be sent in by 8 August, as we need to give the
hotel a head count for each meal function that is part of the
reunion. (See Reservation Form at the back of the newslet-
ter.)
New for the 2008 Reunion
The Association has contracted with the NW Territorial
Mint to mint a coin to commemorate the 50th Anniversary
of the 2nd Missile Battalion, 7st Artillery’s deployment to
Taiwan where they provided a defense of the air space of
Northern Taiwan during the Taiwan Strait Crisis of 958.
The coin will be provided to 2-7 ADA members attend-
ing the 2008 reunion. The coin will be available to other
members, after the reunion. We will let you know how to
obtain the coin in the next newsletter, or by e-mail. You may
indicate your interest by return mail. There will only be one
production run of the coin. We will have enough for current
members and probably all of those who would like to make
their membership current.
